The Manager is accountable for ensuring superior quality, cost-effectiveness, adherence to timelines, statutory compliance, and client satisfaction across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Steer MEP design processes from conceptualization through final construction stages.
  • Critically evaluate and endorse designs for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, BMS, STP/WTP, and Utilities.
  • Collaborate efficiently with architects, structural consultants, and external MEP consultants to ensure design integration.
  • Implement optimized, value-engineered MEP solutions and enhance design consistency across projects.
  • Formulate effective MEP execution plans aligned with overall project schedules and closely monitor site installation progress to meet milestones.
  • Resolve technical challenges hampering construction phases and lead site teams during both execution and commissioning activities.
  • Manage MEP budgets, scrutinize BOQs and cost estimates, and enforce stringent cost control measures including variant management and claims handling.
  • Lead procurement activities by finalizing technical specs, participating in tendering, vendor assessment, negotiations, and managing supplier and contractor compliance.
  • Institute MEP quality standards and standard operating procedures, perform periodic audits, and ensure compliance with multiple regulatory frameworks including NBC, IS Codes, Fire, PCB, and Electrical Inspectorate norms.
  • Plan and oversee commissioning of MEP systems, coordinate authority inspections, assure seamless handover to facility managers and clients, and ensure resolution of all outstanding defects.
  • Engage with internal teams, government agencies, consultants, contractors, and senior management for project updates, risk reporting, and customer discussions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
  • Certifications in MEP, Project Management, Energy Management, or Building Services are an advantage.
  • Proficient with Autocad, Microsoft Office suite, and project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera; ERP and BIM experience is preferred.
  • 7 to 10 years post-degree experience managing MEP components in sizable residential, mixed-use or commercial development projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience with real estate developers or construction firms.
