  • Work with other quality leaders to share proven practices across the organization and keep improvement efforts aligned.
  • Partner with physicians and leaders at all levels to implement initiatives that improve care quality and service delivery.
  • Maintain strong accountability for results for both self and direct reports, including follow-through on goals and priorities.
  • Guide hospital leaders with data-based approaches to identify problems, prioritize opportunities, and resolve issues.
  • Apply Lean and/or Six Sigma methods when building and rolling out performance improvement processes.
  • Assess the performance and professional growth of direct reports and ensure measurable development goals are set and met.
  • Serve as a co-owner, with the Regional Accreditation and Compliance Manager, for regulatory-related activities.
  • Support or respond to AHCA complaint surveys, help lead Joint Commission accreditation surveys, contribute to compliance action planning, and participate in local ongoing readiness efforts.

Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting that matches the hospital’s primary patient population.
  • At least 2 years of experience in quality improvement or performance improvement work.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience, such as lead, supervisor, or charge responsibilities.
  • An active RN license or another relevant clinical license is required.
  • CPHQ certification is required within 5 years of the job description creation date or within 5 years of hire/transfer into the role if hired after the creation date.
  • Lean Leader certification is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • A master’s degree is preferred in Nursing, Hospital Administration, or Business Administration.
