Job Summary
Seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical parts and assemblies primarily using SolidWorks. The role involves close cooperation with various departments such as production, quality, and procurement to establish clear design criteria and parameters.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop precise 3D CAD models and 2D mechanical drawings for components and assemblies utilizing SolidWorks software.
- Work collaboratively with cross-department teams including production, quality assurance, and procurement to determine and fulfill design requirements.
- Conduct thorough design validations through simulation techniques, tolerance studies, and prototype testing.
- Prepare and update critical engineering documents such as Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly guidelines, and maintain revision control for design accuracy.
- Actively engage in design review sessions, providing expert technical feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Assist manufacturing and fabrication teams by addressing design-related questions and supplying necessary updates promptly.
- Guarantee that all design outputs adhere to relevant industry standards, comply with safety regulations, and meet client specifications.
- Continuously enhance existing designs focusing on optimizing performance, reducing costs, and improving manufacturability.
