Role overview
The MEP Manager will oversee the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scope across multiple buildings and structures within the project. The work includes distributed HVAC systems, fire alarm and firefighting systems with pressure set and underground piping, plumbing for buildings, associated electrical and miscellaneous activities, and coordination of subcontractor-led execution.
This position calls for an experienced professional who can integrate MEP systems effectively and take ownership of delivery, contractual compliance, and alignment with local standards while the execution is carried out through subcontractors.
Key responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the project’s MEP scope, including supervising subcontractors through installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover to the client.
- Maintain compliance with HSE requirements throughout all stages of the work.
- Coordinate closely with civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure MEP systems are properly integrated.
- Verify that all work matches client requirements and specifications.
- Plan and track progress, and drive schedule adherence through effective coordination with stakeholders, subcontractors, and their manpower and resources.
- Apply QA/QC processes and ensure HSE standards are followed across all MEP activities.
- Review budgets, control costs, and handle variations connected to MEP works.
- Work with consultants, clients, and vendors to secure approvals and resolve technical queries.
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
- At least 12 years of experience in MEP management is needed, including a minimum of 5 years in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong working knowledge of pumps, blowers, HVAC systems, electrical panels, cabling, and plumbing networks used in treatment plants.
- Exposure to SCADA, MCC, and PLC integration is expected.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
