About the Role
At Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), employees are vital to the company’s success, and we invest significantly in their professional growth. We're seeking a Network Management Consultant to manage provider relationships and ensure strategic coverage in the assigned region. This role includes provider recruitment, contract negotiations for small to medium-sized hospitals and physician groups, risk management, and documentation within the contracting process. While primarily remote, occasional travel within the territory, including overnight stays, may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain strong collaborations with the provider community.
- Recruit and engage new providers within the territory.
- Negotiate contracts for small to medium hospitals, physicians, and physician groups.
- Support complex contracting activities for hospitals and physicians.
- Manage risk and maintain thorough documentation throughout contracting processes.
- Travel occasionally within the territory, including overnight stays, as necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least one year experience in developing and negotiating provider contracts, or alternatively, five years of managed care operations experience with at least one year focused on contract negotiation.
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication as well as organizational and planning skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Analytical skills to assess relevant data effectively.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory including overnight trips.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare management is a plus.
- Advanced expertise in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Co-pilot tools.
- Experience analyzing spreadsheets, claims data, and market trends.
