Role Overview

The Night Auditor plays a vital role in overnight hotel operations, balancing financial processes with superior guest service. Responsibilities include supporting end-of-day audits across all hotel outlets, managing guest billing and accounts within Opera Cloud, reconciling daily financial transactions, handling guest inquiries, and ensuring safety and confidentiality at the front desk. The auditor also supports communication across departments and maintains front office presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with closing audits and balancing for hotel outlets each night.
  • Deliver outstanding guest service during check-in, check-out, and through guest stays.
  • Handle guest accounts, reservations, and billing tasks accurately via Opera Cloud software.
  • Maintain clear communication with departments and promptly respond to guest requests and questions.
  • Reconcile daily transactions including credit card and food and beverage reports.
  • Prepare reports and check-out envelopes for subsequent operations.
  • Strictly follow security rules ensuring guest privacy and hotel safety.
  • Keep the front desk organized, fully stocked, and complete nightly checklists and reports.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Hospitality experience coupled with excellent customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with hotel management systems, ideally Opera Cloud, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong numerical aptitude for accurate financial transaction processing.
  • Excellent communication and detail-oriented work approach.
  • Availability for night shifts and weekend work.
