Job Overview
Call 4 Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead the Nurse Triage team in delivering top-quality patient care and ensuring operational excellence in a remote telehealth setting. The position requires a Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in triage, leadership experience, and a proven ability to maintain strict healthcare compliance and staff performance optimization.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the medical call center, maintaining efficient workflows aligned with organizational policies.
- Design and execute strategies to enhance service quality, patient outcomes, and client satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyze performance indicators to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
- Partner with IT and technical teams to ensure smooth call center functionality and promptly resolve any technical issues.
- Enforce proper triage protocols to correctly direct patients to the appropriate care levels.
- Lead, coach, and supervise nursing and support staff, fostering professional growth and development.
- Organize staff training sessions to strengthen clinical skills and communication.
- Manage workforce scheduling to guarantee adequate coverage of call center demands.
- Conduct performance reviews, deliver constructive feedback, and implement necessary corrective measures.
- Create a positive and accountable work culture that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all patient care practices comply with clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Evaluate calls and interactions to maintain quality, compliance, and patient satisfaction benchmarks.
- Handle patient complaints and issues with promptness and professionalism.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA and other applicable state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Serve as an effective liaison among the call center, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Communicate regularly with company executives, medical directors, and operational teams to synchronize strategies and goals.
- Prepare reports on performance metrics, patient feedback, and operational efficiency.
- Participate actively in organizational meetings, strategy development, and policy formulation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is required; Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA) or Nursing (MSN) is preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with compact privileges is mandatory.
- At least five years of experience in nursing triage, including a minimum of two years in a management or leadership role.
- Prior experience in a telehealth or call center environment is advantageous.
- Strong leadership capabilities with effective team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including conflict resolution.
- Proficient in call center technologies, electronic medical records (EMRs), and telehealth platforms.
- Ability to analyze data, track key performance indicators, and drive continuous improvement.
- Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations, HIPAA compliance, and patient care best practices.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
- Capability to sit for extended periods while actively listening and engaging with calls.
- Occasional standing and manual usage of office equipment.
- Normal hearing range sufficient for headset use.
