Role Overview
The Operations Manager will lead and coordinate all operational functions within the company, focusing on streamlining workflows, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining high standards of service within an insurance brokerage environment. This position is crucial for fostering collaboration among various internal divisions and aligning operational processes with the company’s growth and performance goals.
Main Duties
- Direct and manage day-to-day operational tasks across departments, ensuring seamless business flow.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve operational guidelines and procedures.
- Guarantee adherence to internal protocols as well as local and industry-specific regulations.
- Monitor and uphold service quality along with performance benchmarks.
- Maintain open communication and problem resolution channels with insurance companies, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee policy administration functions including issuance, renewals, amendments, and the claims process.
- Contribute to achieving company objectives and performance metrics.
- Evaluate operational risk areas and establish preemptive and corrective actions.
- Compile and present detailed reports, performance metrics, and analyses for leadership review.
- Optimize utilization of operational assets, technology, and team resources.
- Mentor, train, and manage the operational team to foster growth and high performance.
- Ensure systematic document control and uniformity of processes.
- Work jointly with Human Resources, Finance, Compliance, and Sales departments to drive overall efficiency.
- Engage in digital transformation and process improvement initiatives for insurance operations.
Candidate Profile
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree in business administration, insurance, management, or a similar discipline.
- Should have between five and eight years of demonstrated experience in insurance operations; brokerage experience is preferred.
- Solid knowledge of insurance offerings, brokerage operations, and regulatory rules is necessary.
- Leadership background, along with effective team management skills.
- Analytical prowess with a problem-solving and organizational mindset.
- Excellent communication abilities for engaging with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant insurance management software required.
