Job description
Role Overview
We seek an experienced Operations Manager to lead our operational activities within a commercial parking company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This individual will drive improvements in operational processes, lead engineering and design efforts, manage projects from inception through completion, and oversee maintenance and after-sales support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the Operations Department by setting annual objectives, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and developing strategies aligned with business goals.
- Enhance operational efficiency, ensure optimal resource utilization, and promote continuous improvement across all operations.
- Manage all engineering and design activities including concept design, detailed engineering, shop drawings, engineering calculations, design reviews, technical specifications, value engineering, and optimization ensuring compliance with the Saudi Building Code, international standards, client specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
- Serve as the company’s principal technical authority responsible for reviewing technical proposals, approving engineering solutions, resolving complex technical issues, assisting Sales & Technical Management during tender processes, and advising senior management with technical recommendations.
- Oversee project management for all awarded projects encompassing project planning, resource allocation, budget control, procurement coordination, manufacturing oversight, installation management, testing and commissioning, and client handover to ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, safety compliance, and quality standards.
- Supervise maintenance and after-sales services including warranty support, preventive and corrective maintenance, Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), spare parts management, and delivering excellent technical customer support to foster long-term client relationships.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess between 6 and 12 years of experience in Smart Parking Systems or elevator project environments.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills in both Arabic and English.
- Well-versed with Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with design and technical tools is advantageous.
- Exhibit technical, leadership, and commercial competencies including engineering design, project management, mechanical and electrical system knowledge, structural coordination, value engineering, procurement and contract administration, strategic planning, decision making, coaching, mentoring, and negotiation abilities.
