Role overview

First Union Financial Company Limited is hiring a full-time Operations Supervisor in Kingston. This position is central to managing the company’s fixed agent network and improving agent performance across the island so the business can meet its strategic goals.

The selected person will oversee day-to-day operational standards, support agents, track results, and ensure that procedures and policies are followed consistently.

Key responsibilities

  • Locate and identify suitable new agents within assigned areas.
  • Evaluate prospective agents carefully to determine whether they are a good fit for partnership.
  • Organize and deliver training sessions that introduce agents to new products and services.
  • Keep agents updated on the company’s latest offerings so they can serve customers effectively.
  • Track agent performance on a regular basis and share reports that summarize figures and progress.
  • Spot performance gaps and identify opportunities to improve customer service and operational results.
  • Support agents in meeting their sales targets through coaching, encouragement, and practical strategies.
  • Carry out recurring audits of agent activity and service quality to confirm alignment with company standards.
  • Document audit findings and recommend corrective steps where needed to protect customer confidence.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a similar qualification from an accredited university, is required.

Skills and job requirements

  • Strong organization and administration skills.
  • Comfort with basic mathematics, data entry, Microsoft Office, and financial tasks.
  • Good analytical ability and sound critical thinking.
  • Professional conduct, enthusiasm, and a strong ethical approach.
  • Familiarity with the microfinance sector is an advantage.
  • Access to a reliable motor vehicle is mandatory.
  • A valid driver’s licence held for at least one year is required.
