Pallet Repairer

Overview

Join our team as a Pallet Repairer where your daily task will be to construct and mend wooden pallets made from either freshly cut or repurposed wood, meeting diverse customer requirements. This role is compensated based on production, meaning increased output results in higher earnings.

Shift and Location

Work schedule runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at McIntyre, GA, 31054.

Role Responsibilities

• Collect wood materials from the saw shop and assemble them using a nail gun along fixed stringers.
• Manually stack completed pallets to be transported by forklift operators to designated areas.
• Adhere strictly to company safety protocols to protect yourself and colleagues.
• Maintain high-quality standards while producing a large volume of pallets efficiently.

Required Qualifications and Abilities

• Possession of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Capability to routinely lift wooden pallets weighing approximately 50 pounds.
• Prior experience in lumber, warehouse operations, construction, carpentry, landscaping, or roofing is strongly preferred.
• Good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a dedication to quality workmanship.
• Effective communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.

Working Conditions

• Exposure to various environmental conditions such as heat, cold, dust, and other elements.
• Physically demanding duties involving lifting weights of 50-75 pounds repeatedly and performing movements that include bending, stooping, walking, turning, pivoting, and standing for entire shifts.
• Varying levels of noise depending on the work area.
• Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including eye and ear protection and safety footwear.
• Required visual capabilities including close, distance, and color vision.
