The Patient Scheduling Representative is responsible for interacting with patients and healthcare provider offices via phone and messages to arrange patient appointments. This role involves executing accurate administrative tasks essential for scheduling, such as handling inbound and outbound communications, managing work queues, selecting appropriate appointment slots, and inputting patient demographic and insurance data.
Serving as a crucial link between patients, healthcare professionals, and the community, this position demands outstanding interpersonal and communication capabilities to deliver superior customer service. The representative functions in a call center environment managing high volumes of communication, coordinating with clinical staff in outpatient and physician practices, and completing designated task-oriented activities. Operates in a dynamic, fast-paced, and metrics-focused setting.
