Role Overview
Kinetic Business Solutions is collaborating with a prominent company in the Hospitality sector to recruit a Payroll Specialist based in Dubai. This role involves managing the complete payroll process for approximately 2,000 employees across the UAE and Oman, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end payroll activities, including payroll data gathering, validation, processing, reconciliation, and executing payments.
- Operate SAP SuccessFactors Payroll module to handle payroll processing tasks, support configuration, resolve technical issues, and enhance system functionalities.
- Contribute to payroll system deployments, workflow improvements, and digital transformation projects.
- Ensure adherence to UAE Labour Law regarding leave calculations, gratuity, statutory deductions, and other compliance requirements.
- Generate payroll reports, performance indicators, dashboards, and management summaries using advanced Excel techniques and reporting tools.
- Handle payroll accounting functions such as general ledger reconciliations, payroll accrual reviews, and audit preparations.
- Work collaboratively with HR and Finance departments to address payroll discrepancies and optimize payroll accuracy and efficiency.
- Facilitate multi-country payroll processes and maintain uniform payroll practices across various locations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or closely related discipline.
- Between five to eight years of professional experience in payroll operations or payroll accounting, with responsibility for large employee bases (over 500 employees).
- At least two years of practical experience working directly with SAP SuccessFactors Payroll, including implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, or system support.
- Comprehensive understanding of UAE Labour Law and payroll compliance mandates.
- Proficient payroll accounting knowledge, including reconciliation and financial reporting skills.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including using PivotTables, Power Query, complex formulas, and analytical data handling.
- Excellent analytical skills for payroll reporting and creating insightful dashboards.
- Experience in sectors such as hospitality, retail, FMCG, or other industries with extensive workforce size preferred.
- Experience managing payroll processes in multi-country contexts within UAE and GCC is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in business-level English required; knowledge of Arabic language is beneficial.
- Possession of a valid UAE driving license and access to own vehicle is desirable.
