Pick Up Van Driver

Position Overview

Walsh Waste & Recycling, located at Deerpark Industrial Estate in Oranmore, County Galway, seeks a Pick Up Van Driver. Reporting directly to the Liquid Waste Operations Manager, this role involves delivering bags and small bins to customer locations, collecting and repairing items as necessary. The position also encompasses general deliveries, collections, yard maintenance, housekeeping, and handling portable toilet unit transport when required. The driver works five days within a seven-day week, with the flexibility to respond to urgent callouts.

Responsibilities

• Transport bags and small bins to various customer sites.
• Collect and repair bins if needed.
• Manage general deliveries and collections around the yard.
• Perform housekeeping duties to maintain the yard's orderliness.
• Deliver and collect portable toilet units as necessary.

Requirements

• Hold a valid driving license category B, B1, or BE.
• Maintain an excellent driving record prioritizing safety.
• Possess strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
• Work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Demonstrate flexibility to adjust working hours, including emergency responses.
• Commit to a five-day workweek within a seven-day span (Monday to Sunday).
