We serve as a reliable partner throughout all phases of projects, from initial design to final commissioning, with a strong focus on innovation, safety, and sustainability. Presently, we are recruiting a Piping Engineer for our office in Qatar or UAE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create piping layouts conforming to approved Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), design criteria, relevant codes, and project requirements.
  • Conduct piping design and develop specifications for piping materials.
  • Design piping arrangements accounting for process needs, ease of construction, accessibility, maintenance, and safety considerations.
  • Collaborate with stress, civil/structural, mechanical, and process teams to identify and solve piping layout challenges.
  • Engage in model and design reviews to optimize layouts and resolve clashes.
  • Produce piping engineering documentation such as layouts, isometrics, line lists, and detailed drawings as dictated by project demands.
  • Assist in developing and applying piping material specifications, line classifications, and material take-offs under senior engineer supervision.
  • Review vendor drawings and data relevant to the piping scope and interfaces when assigned.
  • Provide support during preparation of project proposals.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams including Process, Stress, Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and CAD/Modeling to ensure integrated piping designs.
  • Facilitate prompt resolution of cross-discipline comments and design queries during FEED, detailed engineering, and construction phases.
  • Confirm that all assigned piping deliverables comply with codes, standards, project specifications, and internal engineering procedures.
  • Participate in internal checks, design assurance tasks, and incorporate feedback from reviews.
  • Prepare technical specifications for piping materials and tenders, evaluate bids, and make recommendations.
  • Support response to technical inquiries during engineering and provide clarifications as needed during construction.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Five to eight years of experience in piping design for greenfield and brownfield projects including revamp and shutdown work within oil, gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors.
  • Familiarity with piping codes such as ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.1, B31.2, B31.8, B31.12 and other relevant standards and best engineering practices.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software including SP3D, AVEVA E3D, and Navisworks.
  • Experience preparing piping layouts, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English suited to technical coordination and reporting.
  • Capable of effective teamwork in multidisciplinary settings.
  • High attention to detail, strong ownership of technical quality, and commitment to project timelines.
