Opportunity Overview

We invite safety-conscious and quality-focused Plant Operators to join our team in a permanent, full-time capacity based in the Bathurst region. The role follows a Monday to Friday schedule. Applicants from Orange, Bathurst, nearby suburbs, or those willing to relocate are encouraged to apply.

Role Responsibilities

  • Operate various heavy equipment including telehandlers, forklifts, elevated work platforms (EWPs), scissor lifts, and tilt trays.
  • Perform pre-start inspections and adhere strictly to operational procedures ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Safely load, transport, and manage materials with accuracy.
  • Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and general labor tasks as needed.
  • Support tradespeople with daily operational activities.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in a plant or machine operator capacity.
  • Previous involvement in shutdowns or mine site operations is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with driving tilt trays and operating telehandlers with various attachments beneficial.
  • Dedication to upholding a strong safety culture.
  • Adaptable and team-oriented in working with diverse crews.
  • Capability to pass a full medical and fitness assessment.

Required Qualifications and Certifications

  • Possession of a White Card (Construction safety card).
  • High Risk Work Licence, Class C2.
  • HR Driver's Licence preferred.
  • Additional High Risk Work Licence with WP class considered a plus.
  • Experience in telescopic materials handler operations is desirable.
  • Current Working at Heights refresher training within the last 18 months is preferred.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical and police clearance checks.
