Position Overview

The Porter Banquets role involves finalizing event breakdown by cleaning the venue and returning equipment to designated locations. Responsibilities include performing closing tasks such as storing reusable items, securing premises, dismantling setups, and maintaining work areas through stocking and cleaning. The role also requires monitoring cleanliness and sanitation consistently during shifts while following clean-as-you-go practices.

Key Duties

• Carry out the complete closing of banquet functions including securing areas and goods.
• Set up and stock service stations and maintain their organization.
• Transport and sort dirty linens appropriately; restock clean linens.
• Support other departments when necessary to enhance guest services.
• Comply with company safety, security policies, and report any workplace accidents or unsafe conditions promptly.
• Maintain professional personal appearance and uphold confidentiality and protection of company assets.
• Engage guests courteously, meet their service needs, and thank them sincerely.
• Use clear, professional communication with team members and guests.
• Meet quality standards and participate in achieving team goals.
• Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds independently and over 75 pounds with help, and maneuvering over various surfaces.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior work or supervisory experience required.
• No licensing or certification needed.
