Procurement & Category Management Analyst

Role overview

This role sits within a centralized Strategic Sourcing and Procurement function that works at pace and requires strong organization, careful time management, and the ability to stay effective under pressure while delivering projects to tight deadlines. The team covers strategic sourcing, procurement operations, supplier relationship management, data and analytics, outsourcing, commercial term review, and contract management across Vertiv. The opening is for a Senior IT Procurement Category Specialist focused on indirect spend.

This position may be located in Budapest, Hungary; Zagreb, Croatia; Burnfoot, Ireland; or Limerick, Ireland.

Key responsibilities

You will support regional Strategic Sourcing Managers by improving workflows, helping drive contract execution, and providing reporting insights. The role also involves working closely with teams across Accounting, Finance, IT, Security, and Legal to understand purchasing needs and priorities.

Additional work includes supporting RFP and RFx activities, preparing sourcing documents, and coordinating with vendors. You will review commercial terms and conditions to help ensure contracts meet legal, regulatory, and accounting standards while protecting the company’s financial position.

You will also handle the intake, review, and tracking of SOWs, change requests, NDAs, and contract amendments. The role requires strong experience with Agiloft CLM administration, ServiceNow, Zycus, and supporting sourcing teams through improved workflows, renewals, and contract execution using PandaDoc.

Other duties include analyzing market developments, evaluating supplier capabilities, finding opportunities to reduce costs and improve processes, ensuring procurement policy compliance, and overseeing the creation, review, and approval of purchase orders in Coupa. Advanced use of Power BI and Microsoft Excel is needed for working with large datasets, including pivot tables, data validation, and complex formulas.

Requirements

The role calls for a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or a related area, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.

You should have at least 5 years of procurement experience, particularly in indirect categories, along with a solid understanding of supplier management principles. Practical experience with Agiloft procurement software is required.

Preferred strengths include high integrity, accountability, a strong sense of urgency, and a results-oriented approach. Experience managing and training onshore and offshore contractor resources is beneficial, as are excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

You should be comfortable collaborating across functions, influencing stakeholders at different levels, building supplier relationships, solving problems through data analysis, and working in international procurement environments with global entities. Professional services experience is considered an advantage.
