As the business continues to grow, Vertiv is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the team in Letterkenny. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this person will lead important projects from early concept stage through to final completion and handover.
The role involves close coordination with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to make sure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Background in electrical or technical environments would be a strong advantage.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee projects from the initial stage through design review, purchasing, installation, commissioning, and final handover.
- Bring together project teams, subcontractors, and resources so work stays aligned with the programme and quality expectations.
- Track progress across projects, spot risks or problems early, and put practical corrective actions in place.
- Join site and client meetings to help maintain momentum and ensure expectations are being met.
- Handle procurement activities, including raising requisitions, monitoring deliveries, and keeping proper audit records.
- Work with contractors and other stakeholders to keep communication clear and projects running smoothly.
- Monitor spend, costs, and project performance to maintain strong commercial control.
- Take ownership of overall project delivery, including both operational and financial outcomes.
Experience and qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in project management within construction, engineering, or a similar setting.
- Hands-on experience managing subcontractors, site operations, and project schedules.
- Strong planning and communication abilities, with the capacity to handle several priorities at once.
- Commercial awareness, including experience with budgeting and cost monitoring.
- Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate work effectively.
- Experience in electrical, M&E, or other technical projects is beneficial, though not mandatory.
- Self-driven approach with the ability to manage workload independently.
- A full UK driving licence is required.
