About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Procurement Director to spearhead our procurement department with a strategic vision. This pivotal role involves formulating comprehensive procurement strategies, enhancing sourcing approaches, and fostering sustainable value across the enterprise. Primary Responsibilities

  • Establish organizational procurement policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Oversee supplier performance monitoring, risk assessment, compliance adherence, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives, spend analysis, and value creation through procurement excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with finance on budgeting, forecasting, and financial monitoring related to spend management.
  • Coordinate with operations, supply chain, and other business units to ensure procurement strategies support organizational objectives.
  • Manage procurement technology infrastructure including analytics tools and digital platforms.
  • Generate executive dashboards, reports, and strategic insights for senior leadership.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and development for a high-performing procurement team across several functions.
  • Encourage a culture that champions innovation, collaboration, accountability, and commercial excellence.

Candidate Requirements

  • In-depth expertise in strategic procurement, including sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and operational procurement management.
  • Demonstrated leadership of procurement operations within complex or large-scale organizations.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities paired with strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Robust commercial insight with experience in budget management, cost optimization, and supplier strategy development.
  • Background in developing procurement governance frameworks and driving operational improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills, strategic approach, and sound decision-making ability.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, procurement software, spend analytics, and supplier management solutions.
  • Knowledge of risk management, compliance, sustainability standards, and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Ability to influence senior management and manage intricate commercial partnerships effectively.
  • Proven leadership skills in building and nurturing high-performing teams.
  • Exemplify professionalism, integrity, responsibility, and flexibility.
  • Professional procurement certifications such as CIPS or equivalents are highly advantageous.
