Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee and direct the company's procurement operations, ensuring timely and cost-efficient acquisition of materials, equipment, services, and subcontractors while maintaining high quality standards. This leadership role is crucial for supporting successful execution of company projects and contributing to operational and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Devise and execute procurement strategies that align with company objectives and operational plans.
  • Manage procurement processes for construction materials, machinery, equipment, and services necessary for projects and corporate functions.
  • Build and sustain strong partnerships with suppliers and subcontractors, regularly assessing their performance.
  • Negotiate favorable pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to optimize value for the company.
  • Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, and Cost Control teams to ensure procurement aligns with project timelines and requirements.
  • Administer supplier and subcontractor prequalification, evaluation, and approval workflows.
  • Track procurement KPIs, identifying areas for improved efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Monitor market conditions and material costs to uncover strategic purchasing advantages.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate inventory management to balance material availability and waste minimization.
  • Prepare regular procurement reports and propose recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead and develop the procurement team to boost effectiveness and productivity.
  • Contribute to budget formulation, procurement planning, and sourcing strategies for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • At least 8 years of procurement experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in construction industry procurement, especially related to roads, infrastructure, or building projects.
  • Deep understanding of contract management, supply chain operations, and supplier prequalification procedures.
  • Proficiency in ERP platforms and procurement software solutions.
  • Strong leadership capabilities coupled with effective team management skills.
  • Advanced negotiation skills for supplier and contract management.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, decision-making abilities, and problem-solving skills.
