About the Company

We are a consumer products company managing three distinct brands under one holding company. Our sales channels include direct-to-consumer, Amazon, and wholesale platforms. Our sourcing spans domestic and international suppliers, primarily from China, while fulfillment is coordinated through a network of third-party logistics providers across the U.S. and Canada.

Role Overview

We seek a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to manage purchasing activities across all three brands. Responsibilities include translating sales and production needs into procurement actions, managing purchase orders throughout their lifecycle, and maintaining supplier and inventory data using Odoo ERP. This remote, part-time role offers flexibility and autonomy, with potential growth into a full-time position.

Key Duties

• Assess inventory requirements for three brands by aligning procurement with sales demand and production plans.
• Plan production batches for outsourced manufacturing and source required raw materials.
• Engage suppliers for quotes, comparing pricing, lead times, order minimums, and contract terms.
• Generate, issue, and oversee purchase orders from quotation through receipt using Odoo.
• Monitor active purchase orders and incoming shipments, ensuring accurate receipt and resolving discrepancies.
• Collaborate with logistics and 3PL partners in the U.S. and Canada to track inbound shipments, especially those imported from China.
• Manage stock levels to avoid shortages and excess inventory.
• Maintain precise data on items, vendors, costs, and lead times across brands within Odoo.
• Negotiate with suppliers to establish favorable prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Work alongside sales, operations, and finance teams to forecast demand and identify potential supply challenges.

Qualifications

• At least one year of practical ERP experience; strong preference for Odoo familiarity, though similar systems like NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Fishbowl are acceptable (please specify).
• One to three years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles.
• Proven ability to create and manage purchase orders from initial quotes to final receipt.
• Sound knowledge of inventory management principles, including reorder points and lead time coordination.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in supplier interactions.
• Highly organized and self-motivated, capable of independently managing procurement across multiple brands in a remote setting.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree is advantageous but not mandatory.

Preferred Experience

• Direct experience with Odoo Purchase, Inventory, and Manufacturing modules.
• Familiarity with importing from China, including understanding of international freight, Incoterms, and customs duties.
• Experience working with 3PL or warehouse partners.
• Background in multi-entity or multi-brand procurement operations.
• Knowledge of D2C, Amazon Seller/Vendor Central, and wholesale fulfillment channels.
• Exposure to production planning and subcontract manufacturing.
• Supply chain certifications such as APICS/CPIM or equivalent.

Work Conditions & Compensation

• Part-time commitment of 20 to 30 hours weekly, with an option to expand to full-time.
• Fully remote work within the United States.
• Hourly pay range of $35 to $50 depending on experience.
