Procurement Team Lead

Overview

The procurement team lead will oversee a group of procurement specialists within a BPO setting, managing the end-to-end procure-to-pay cycle, introducing new suppliers, handling purchase requisitions and orders, and ensuring compliance. This position emphasizes team performance management, process adherence, policy enforcement, and driving initiatives for continuous improvement.

Job Description and Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or an MBA concentrating on Supply Chain or Finance.
• At least 1 year in a leadership role supervising teams.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably within BPO or shared services.
• Strong leadership abilities paired with effective communication and interpersonal skills for team motivation and management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with procurement processes in the public sector or higher education environments.
• Proficiency in procurement software and related technological tools.
• Work location is Siruseri, Chennai.
