Role Overview

We are seeking a Product Designer to lead our design initiatives across the entire product, acting as the sole full-time design resource. Reporting directly to Aashiq and collaborating closely with the engineering team, you will take ownership of the design process from understanding complex problems to delivering and iterating on solutions until they are shipped.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Fin's design system to ensure consistency and scalability across both mobile and web platforms as the product evolves.
• Influence product direction through strong product thinking, determining what features get developed and their purpose beyond just visual aspects.
• Deliver high-quality visual UI details, including interaction nuances and polish for released features.
• Operate in a fast-paced environment, iterating swiftly from initial concepts through prototypes to finalized products without excessive process overhead.
• Handle a variety of design tasks encompassing core product UI, marketing assets, and brand touchpoints with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Collaborate daily with engineers and founders, transforming ambiguous problems into precise, actionable design solutions.

Candidate Profile

• Excellent skills in product and interaction design.
• Ability to independently own projects starting from unclear or ambiguous requirements.
• Strong product judgment with a willingness to question and improve initial solutions.
• Proficient with modern design and prototyping tools.
• Capability to produce high-quality work rapidly and revise designs as needed.
• Experience working within small, agile teams.
• Comfortable managing a broad array of design challenges without specialized support.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach working closely with founders and engineers.
• High accountability for the quality and success of shipped products.

Additional Information

While fintech experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Relevant experience includes consumer software products, SMB-focused solutions, or any software demanding a strong user experience.
