Job description
Role Overview
SBH Fashion is hiring a Product Development Associate to help keep the product development process running smoothly from initial concept through production. This position is centered on coordination, tracking, documentation, and communication across teams, rather than hands-on technical design. It is a strong fit for someone who is highly organized, comfortable managing timelines, and able to keep many moving parts aligned in a fast-paced fashion setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the product development team across the full lifecycle of each collection, from concept to production.
- Monitor samples, submits, trims, and materials to help ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain calendars, milestones, and progress trackers for development work.
- Keep development charts, line sheets, and product details current and organized.
- Communicate with vendors and factories every day to follow up on timelines and outstanding items.
- Help coordinate fit sessions and capture notes; technical patternmaking is not part of the role.
- Serve as a point of coordination between design, sales & merchandising, and production teams.
- Organize fabric swatches and development materials so they remain accessible and orderly.
- Update costing information and complete related documentation as needed.
Qualifications
The role calls for 2 to 4 years of experience in fashion or a related product-focused environment. Candidates should bring strong organizational abilities, solid time management, and the capacity to juggle several projects and deadlines at once. Clear written and verbal communication is important, along with careful attention to detail and consistent follow-through. Strong Excel skills are required, and familiarity with PLM tools such as Centric or Exenta is considered an advantage. Experience with garment construction and fabric development would also be a plus.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000.
