Role Overview
As a key member of our Product Development Design team, you will drive the enhancement of product performance and quality from conception through production testing to after-sales customer feedback. Situated in the Greater Toronto Area, this full-time position presents the chance to engage hands-on with mechanical, gas and solar-powered battery equipment, and home backup power products intended for broad retail distribution across Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive product testing, meticulously document results, and integrate findings to meet or surpass quality standards.
- Perform inspections and tests on incoming samples as well as finished goods to ensure compliance.
- Create and lead the development of quality checklists, procedural documentation, and process guidelines.
- Investigate product issues, identify root causes, and implement actionable solutions to guarantee proper functioning.
- Analyze feedback from customers, test data, inspection reports, and research to pinpoint opportunities for quality improvements.
- Integrate identified improvements into future product iteration plans.
- Work collaboratively with designers and manufacturers to execute impactful quality enhancements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Industrial), Industrial Design, Product Development, or related field combined with practical experience.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in product development and improvement roles.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and related CAD software tools.
- Experience with quality improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is advantageous.
