About Inca
We are inca, a venture-backed startup dedicated to automating insurance claims through Agentic AI. We are bringing cutting-edge Agentic AI to the insurance industry with a pragmatic approach, delivering tangible results where others make empty promises. The market is experiencing significant growth, with numerous insurers expressing strong interest in transforming their claims processes. Our team comprises experienced professionals, including former BCG Project Leaders and experts in industry and AI, who are collectively redefining insurance operations in Europe. We are supported by top-tier venture capitalists, having secured one of the most competitive Pre-Seed rounds in European InsurTech.
About the Role
We are seeking a Product Intern to collaborate with inca's CPTO for a period of 3-6 months. This role is crucial in advancing our Agentic AI vision. You will be deeply involved in defining, designing, and deploying advanced AI agents aimed at automating complex insurance claims. This is a hands-on internship where you will directly contribute to core product development, encompassing AI agent definition, test data preparation, and service design. Expect a dynamic and high-responsibility environment where your contributions will be implemented.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Conduct product interviews with internal subject matter experts and end-users to clearly define the capabilities and workflows for AI agents.
- Prepare comprehensive testing data and design specific test scenarios to rigorously evaluate the performance of AI agents.
- Collaborate closely with senior engineering staff to architect the services and tools necessary for the implementation of these agents.
- Analyze data to derive actionable insights that will inform and guide product strategy and decision-making.
- Assist the CPTO in the development and ongoing maintenance of the product roadmap.
- Support the creation of essential documentation, user flow diagrams, and user experience outlines for the agentic engine.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or have completed a degree in product management, technology, or business fields.
- Possess at least 3 prior internships or equivalent work experience (e.g., working student roles) in product management, product design, or within AI/tech startups.
- Demonstrate a strong aptitude for systems thinking and data analysis, understanding how components interact, user behavior patterns, and the factors contributing to successful functionality, with the ability to identify these patterns in data.
- Exhibit a structured and inquisitive mindset, communicate effectively, and possess a passion for uncovering the root causes of complex challenges.
- Familiarity with agent-based systems, AI model evaluation methodologies, or test automation practices is considered a significant advantage.
- Prior experience or a solid understanding of the insurance sector, particularly in property and casualty claims, would be highly beneficial.
Benefits
- Engage with real AI applications and achieve tangible impact; we focus on building functional agentic systems that revolutionize a traditionally slow-moving industry.
- Experience a direct and transparent work culture, free from internal politics, characterized by clarity, accountability, and a focus on results.
- Benefit from an exceptional learning environment, working alongside experienced Product Leaders from BCG and AI specialists, gaining insights into scaling a venture-backed startup.
- The role is based in Berlin, requiring 3+ days per week on-site, with a hybrid work model and opportunities for regular offsite events and direct interaction with founders.
- The internship is full-time, commencing as soon as possible for a duration of 3-6 months, and includes a competitive salary.
- Thrive in a fast-paced setting where rapid iteration, problem-solving, and relentless execution are key to achieving success.
- In addition to standard benefits, enjoy the unique advantage of contributing to the development of a truly impactful product.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, onsite internship in Berlin, Germany, lasting 3-6 months, starting as soon as possible. A competitive salary will be provided.
