Role overview
The Search organization at eBay owns the search page, a major part of the marketplace experience. The team’s goal is to help users browse, discover, and purchase items with ease through a search experience that is useful, smooth, and trustworthy. In this position, you will help create strong advertising solutions within Search, with a focus on AI-powered improvements that enhance discovery, engagement, and ad quality.
What you will do
- Shape the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for better advertising quality in Search.
- Use information from analytics, user research, marketing research, and design to uncover unmet customer needs and define effective solutions.
- Work closely with engineering, design, analytics, product marketing, and user research teams to deliver new products and enhancements.
- Drive roadmap execution together with data science, engineering, and analytics partners.
- Create MVPs, learn quickly from iterations, and maintain a high standard of execution.
- Run A/B tests for release candidates and collaborate with analytics teams to evaluate impact against success metrics.
What you need
- At least 3 years of product management experience.
- Experience working with search and discovery platforms, including ranking systems, search algorithms, and semantic search.
- Understanding of pay-per-click search advertising models.
- Strong analytical ability and comfort working with inputs from multiple data sources.
- A user-first mindset with a track record of improving customer experience within constraints.
- Proven leadership qualities, self-direction, and an entrepreneurial approach to fast-paced innovation.
