Job description
Role overview
This is a remote Product Owner position based in Germany, focused on improving the post-payment journey for a widely used global digital product. The role is centered on helping paying customers quickly discover value by connecting with relevant matches and maintaining early engagement.
You will operate at the point where product direction, user behavior, and performance data meet, with a strong focus on activation and customer success. The environment is fast-moving and international, and you will partner closely with analytics, design, and engineering. A key part of the job is reducing friction in discovery and matching while increasing satisfaction, retention, and perceived value across multiple global markets.
Accountabilities
- Take ownership of the post-payment customer journey and keep improving core experiences so users consistently reach meaningful engagement faster.
- Raise activation levels by helping paying users find strong matches and continue early communication during the first week of product use.
- Spot obstacles in discovery, recommendation, and matching flows, then shape improvements that make results more relevant and useful.
- Improve how offers, invitations, and recommendations are selected and personalized according to user preferences and behavior.
- Build and refine segmentation approaches so different customer groups receive experiences aligned with their expectations and needs.
- Work side by side with analytics, engineering, and design to validate ideas, measure outcomes, and keep iterating.
- Create engagement and reactivation approaches such as personalization, gamification, and communication features that support retention and value realization.
Requirements
- Strong background in B2C product management, preferably in products with advanced discovery, matching, or recommendation logic.
- Demonstrated success in improving activation, onboarding, or time-to-value in consumer digital products.
- Good understanding of customer journey design, especially in subscription-based or post-payment settings.
- Hands-on experience with data-led product development, including experimentation, A/B testing, and behavioral analysis.
- Ability to shape and improve segmentation, personalization, and recommendation systems.
- Strong analytical approach and the ability to uncover root user problems instead of only responding to visible feature requests.
- Experience with high-choice products where users compare multiple options, offers, or routes.
- Fluent Russian is mandatory.
Benefits
- 100% remote work arrangement.
- 28 calendar days of annual leave.
- 7 wellness days each year for rest and personal matters without using sick leave.
- Annual learning and development support covering 50% of eligible costs for courses, conferences, and professional events.
- Discounts on English language learning for employees.
- Health support allowance of up to $1,000 gross per year for medical insurance or healthcare-related expenses for employees and immediate family members.
- Work-from-home or co-working support budget of up to $1,000 gross every 3 years for home office setup or shared workspace costs.
- Internal gamified recognition program with rewards that can be exchanged for merchandise, experiences, and team activities.
- Referral bonus of up to $5,000 for successful candidate recommendations.
