Job description
Role overview
This opportunity is for a Product Owner focused on client experience, based in New Zealand and working fully remotely. The role is centered on improving the journey after payment for a large-scale digital product used by millions of people across the world. The main objective is to help paying customers quickly experience real value by connecting with relevant matches and engaging with them successfully.
You will operate at the point where product strategy, customer behavior, and performance analysis meet. The work is highly data-led and strongly tied to activation and customer success. You will collaborate in a fast-moving international environment with teams across analytics, design, and engineering, with a clear mission to remove friction from discovery and matching processes, raise satisfaction, and improve engagement and retention across multiple markets.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the post-payment journey and keep improving the core customer experience so users achieve meaningful engagement as quickly and consistently as possible.
- Raise activation by supporting paying customers in finding high-quality matches and maintaining early conversations during the first week of use.
- Spot pain points in discovery, recommendation, and matching flows, then shape practical solutions that increase relevance and user satisfaction.
- Improve the quality and personalization of offers, invitations, and recommendations using behavioral and preference signals.
- Build and refine customer segmentation approaches so that experiences can be better adapted to different user needs and expectations.
- Work closely with analytics, engineering, and design to validate ideas, track impact, and iterate based on results.
- Create engagement and reactivation mechanisms such as personalization, gamification, and communication tools that strengthen retention and help users realize value faster.
Requirements
- Substantial background in B2C product management, ideally within products that involve complex discovery, matching, or recommendation logic.
- Demonstrated success improving activation, onboarding, or time-to-value in consumer digital products.
- Good understanding of customer journey design, especially in subscription-based or post-payment environments.
- Hands-on experience with data-driven product work, including experimentation, A/B testing, and behavioral analysis.
- Capability to shape and improve segmentation, personalization, and recommendation approaches.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to uncover the underlying user problem rather than responding only to surface feature requests.
- Experience in environments with many possible choices, offers, or user pathways.
- Fluent Russian is mandatory.
Benefits and additional information
- Fully remote working arrangement.
- 28 calendar days of annual leave.
- 7 wellness days each year for rest and personal matters, without needing to use sick leave.
- Annual learning and development support covering 50% of eligible costs for courses, conferences, and professional events.
- Discounts on English language learning for employees.
- Health support allowance of up to $1,000 gross per year for medical insurance or other healthcare-related expenses for employees and close family members.
- Workplace support budget of up to $1,000 gross every 3 years for home office equipment or co-working expenses.
- An internal gamified recognition program with rewards that can be exchanged for merchandise, experiences, and team activities.
- Referral bonuses of up to $5,000 for successful candidate recommendations.
