Role Overview
The Product Owner / Project Manager position is a full-time remote role charged with steering the development of lending products and digital tools that embody First Federal’s customer-centric philosophy. Responsibilities include managing the product backlog, converting business objectives into actionable requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize feature implementation. Daily activities involve coordinating cross-departmental teams, overseeing project schedules and milestones, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring deliverables adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and excellent user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog aligned with business goals.
- Translate business and customer requirements into clear product features.
- Work closely with stakeholders to align priorities and expectations.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Monitor project timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and apply appropriate delivery methodologies.
- Track performance indicators and adjust product roadmaps based on data and feedback.
- Document workflows and progress, providing transparent updates to leadership.
- Support continuous enhancements in both product development and project management processes.
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience in product ownership or business analysis, including backlog management and translating needs into deliverable features.
- Strong project management expertise with a track record of leading interdisciplinary projects under agile or hybrid frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills to facilitate workshops and provide updates to diverse audiences.
- Competency in data analysis and utilizing metrics to influence product strategy and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with lending, financial services, or related sectors, particularly home loans, commercial financing, or digital banking is highly advantageous.
- Ability to thrive in a remote setting with strong self-management and collaboration capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information systems, or a related discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- Certifications such as Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Project Management Professional are preferred.
