Position Overview
The Production Controller plays a crucial role in managing and scheduling the manufacturing line to ensure timely shipment of finished goods to customers. This role also involves producing detailed performance reports for management insight. Candidates experienced in managing multiple complex products within a high-speed semiconductor production environment are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage materials and production planning schedules overseeing Work-In-Progress (WIP) flow, incorporating forecasting, urgent orders, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Engineering Changes, and inventory turnover.
- Track manufacturing progress, detect bottlenecks, and revise schedules proactively to maintain efficiency.
- Lead manufacturing efforts to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as production movement, cycle time, and shipment commitments.
- Evaluate and commit timelines for qualification and expedited production lots.
- Manage inventory across raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and obsolete parts to streamline material flow.
- Maintain and update the demand management master plan.
- Provide clear leadership and directions to operational teams to fulfill customer delivery requirements.
- Continuously evaluate fabrication line capabilities versus planned capacities to maintain linear workflow and identify improvement areas.
- Collaborate with reporting teams to design comprehensive dashboards that visualize fabrication performance clearly.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of five years’ experience in semiconductor production operations.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification is required.
- A proactive, positive attitude with willingness to tackle challenges decisively.
- Excellent commitment, analytical thinking, and self-initiative skills.
- Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel with Macros, and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of factory operations, including the relationship among line movement, cycle times, and customer delivery timelines.
