About the Role

Our client, a prominent entity in the aviation industry, is looking for a Production Planner responsible for efficient scheduling and coordination of operational tasks. The position involves creating and managing production plans, tracking work progress, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring targets are met in alignment with customer needs and business goals. This role suits those with experience in production planning, manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, or other strictly regulated operational sectors seeking to advance their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and oversee weekly and monthly production schedules to meet operational objectives.
  • Supervise ongoing work and align priorities with internal teams to optimize workflow and resources.
  • Maintain detailed production documentation and planning metrics.
  • Provide consistent updates on production status, capacity, projected completion, and target performance.
  • Organize and lead regular production planning sessions involving critical stakeholders.
  • Assist operational management to meet business goals, productivity standards, and improvement initiatives.
  • Generate and sustain planning reports, key performance indicators, and management data.
  • Recognize scheduling risks, capacity limitations, and possible delays; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate with client-facing and operational units to uphold service quality and delivery commitments.
  • Participate in process enhancements to shorten turnaround times, boost efficiency, and manage costs.
  • Carry out additional tasks as necessary to support operations.

Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience in roles such as Production Planner, Scheduler, Operations Planner, Manufacturing or Supply Chain Planner, or Maintenance Planner.
  • Background in aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, or other regulated sectors is favorable.
  • Proficient in planning, scheduling, and organizational techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adept at interpreting technical data, operational statistics, and performance metrics.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of ERP, MRP, production planning, or business management software.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high-velocity setting.
  • Commercially aware with a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in achieving operational KPIs and performance goals.
