Job description

About the Role

This position is based in Dublin offering a hybrid work model. The role centers on overseeing complex high voltage (HV) infrastructure projects across Ireland, including substations and power grids. As a Project Manager at Turner Lovell, you will lead projects from initial planning through execution to final handover, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, schedule, and risk management. You will represent a global leader in sustainable energy and power grid technology and contribute significantly to energy project delivery in Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign tasks within the project team and motivate both internal and external contributors to meet deadlines and project milestones, while providing performance feedback based on progress.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans including scope definitions, financial budgeting, scheduling, and risk management in collaboration with Project Controls.
  • Oversee the implementation phase, ensuring adherence to best practices, tracking progress and resource usage, managing project finances, and formal closure per contractual requirements.
  • Manage contracts, claims, and procurement activities by working closely with Supply Chain Management in acquiring services, materials, and equipment and assisting in supplier negotiations and change management.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for customers and address escalated project issues, fostering strong internal and external stakeholder relationships through effective communication.
  • Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental company policies.

Candidate Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Minimum of seven years' proven experience in project management, particularly in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Thorough understanding and application of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Advanced problem-solving capabilities with the aptitude to manage sophisticated project challenges.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills enabling influence over policies, processes, and team procedures.
