Project Support Engineer

Overview

Lantern Systems Co. Ltd is seeking a skilled Project Support Engineer to strengthen our team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This role focuses on providing comprehensive technical and coordination assistance for communication and low-current system projects throughout their lifecycle.

Key Duties

• Participate in creating and reviewing technical submissions related to Data, Telecom, CCTV, and Access Control systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Electrical and Security departments, to align designs.
• Develop and update shop drawings, as-built documentation, and material quantity estimates.
• Evaluate vendor technical documentation to ensure it meets project requirements.
• Contribute to Bill of Quantities (BOQ) preparation activities.
• Liaise with procurement teams for technical questions and to obtain necessary approvals.
• Track and manage the flow of project design documents.
• Provide technical support and clarifications to site teams as needed.
• Assist in the compilation of testing, commissioning reports, and final handover documentation.
• Ensure adherence to client standards and directives throughout project execution.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Experience with IP-based CCTV Systems.
• Understanding of Access Control Systems.
• Knowledge of Public Address and Voice Alarm Systems.
• Fundamental networking concepts including switches and basic IP addressing.
• Basic familiarity with communication rack layouts and data center configurations.
• Ability to interpret single line diagrams, layouts, and schematic drawings.

Educational and Professional Credentials

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering with between 2 and 5 years of relevant experience in communication or low-current system projects.
