Job description
Role Overview
Saudi Mais, founded in 1994 and based in Riyadh’s Third Industrial City, is a well-established manufacturer of medical devices in the Middle East. The company focuses on advanced single-use medical disposables produced to international quality standards. It is currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to strengthen its Supply Chain function.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape and drive procurement plans while partnering with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs on supplier approval.
- Handle supplier negotiations covering contracts, commercial terms, pricing, and delivery commitments.
- Maintain purchasing activities in line with ISO 13485 and relevant GMP standards.
- Track and evaluate supplier outcomes using metrics tied to quality, delivery performance, and cost.
- Guide, support, and develop the purchasing team to improve overall function performance.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or Pharmacy.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, or CPM are an advantage.
- At least 7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles, with 3 or more years in a managerial position.
- Background in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or another regulated manufacturing environment is required.
- Good working knowledge of ISO 13485 and supplier risk management practices.
