Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for an innovative Quality Assurance Analyst to join our engineering team in Texas. This role requires a modern approach to QA, combining traditional rigorous methods with AI-driven tools, intelligent automation, and a proactive shift-left testing strategy integrated throughout the software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with developers, product managers, and AI technologies to ensure the delivery of high-quality software swiftly.

Primary Duties

  • Utilize AI-assisted platforms (such as GitHub Copilot, Testim, Mabl) to design, maintain, and optimize test cases, thereby minimizing manual scripting and enhancing coverage.
  • Implement shift-left quality measures by partnering early in the product lifecycle during requirements and design phases to catch issues pre-development.
  • Create and sustain comprehensive automated test suites for end-to-end scenarios employing tools like Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress, integrated within CI/CD workflows.
  • Test AI-driven features and workflows, including validating prompt responses, model outputs, edge cases, and LLM API integrations, to assure functionality and accuracy.
  • Manage defect reporting and prioritization through Jira, leveraging AI-supported root cause analysis to expedite defect resolution.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and exploratory testing across platforms including web, mobile, and APIs.
  • Maintain and enhance quality control mechanisms within CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions to uphold build quality.
  • Validate data integrity by employing SQL queries, API response checks, and schema verifications, including reviewing AI model input/output correctness.
  • Develop and update detailed test plans, strategies, and runbooks that reflect contemporary AI-enhanced QA workflows.
  • Monitor QA performance indicators like defect escape rates, test coverage, and automation returns; utilize AI-driven analytics to continually refine quality processes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience developing and managing automated testing frameworks; mandatory proficiency with Selenium, with additional knowledge of Playwright or Cypress viewed favorably.
  • Competency in leveraging AI-enhanced tools for accelerating QA tasks (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Testim, Mabl, ChatGPT scripting).
  • Skill in coding and scripting using languages like Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
  • Experience in REST API testing with tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
  • Familiarity integrating automated tests within CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Strong SQL skills for backend testing and data verification.
  • A solid grasp of Agile and DevOps methodologies, comfortable working in fast-paced iterative environments.
  • Proficient in defect tracking and test management using Jira.
  • Ability to debug complex software defects by effectively isolating and communicating root causes.
  • Preferred experience with LLM/AI feature validation, AI test case generation tools, observability platforms (e.g., Datadog, Splunk), and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Basic knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, Unix/Linux shell scripting, and version control with Git.

Personal Attributes

  • Quality-oriented mindset prioritizing end-user experience in every sprint cycle.
  • Curious and adaptable approach to integrating AI as a tool to augment, not replace, critical thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills capable of translating complex technical issues into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
  • Data-driven decision making informed by metrics and analytics.
  • Team-oriented attitude thriving in collaborative, cross-disciplinary environments.

Education and Experience

Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent practical background. A minimum of 3 years in software QA is required, including at least one year focused on automation or AI-supported testing.

Benefits and Culture

  • Engagement with cutting-edge AI-powered product testing.
  • Opportunities for professional development including training, certifications (ISTQB, AWS, AI tools), and conferences.
  • A culture that values inclusivity, collaboration, and shared responsibility for quality.
  • Emphasis on maintaining a healthy work-life balance with flexible working options.
  • Competitive remuneration with salary, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.
  • Supportive environment including wellness programs, mental health resources, and diversity initiatives.
