About Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Company

Tuwaiq Casting & Forging is searching for an experienced and quality-focused Quality Assurance Engineer to become a vital part of its Quality Assurance Division. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of the QA Manager to help implement, maintain, and constantly improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure all manufacturing processes and final products comply with customer orders, engineering specifications, internal protocols, and global standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and uphold the Quality Management System aligned with ISO 9001, API Q1, API 20A, and API 20B standards.
  • Create, review, and update quality-related procedures, work instructions, forms, and records.
  • Ensure document control and revision accuracy across all company departments.
  • Facilitate internal audits and management review sessions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote risk-based thinking organization-wide.
  • Supervise manufacturing operations including casting, forging, machining, heat treating, and inspection for adherence to approved procedures.
  • Conduct process audits to find and address manufacturing variances or gaps.
  • Maintain traceability of raw materials, heat numbers, production batches, and finished products.
  • Aid in decreasing defects, scrap, rework, and process inconsistencies.
  • Oversee the proper implementation of Inspection and Test Plans during all production phases.
  • Verify that manufacturing complies with ASME, ASTM, API, ISO, and customer standards.
  • Review technical documents such as purchase orders, drawings, and datasheets for compliance.
  • Keep updated copies of relevant international codes and standards readily accessible.
  • Coordinate technical clarifications among Engineering, Quality Control, and Production teams.
  • Support product qualification processes and documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Engage in supplier qualification audits and perform supplier performance evaluations.
  • Monitor suppliers for quality, certification, and delivery adherence.
  • Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for internal and supplier-related issues.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementations.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposition of non-conforming products.
  • Organize calibration schedules for testing and measuring equipment.
  • Maintain precise quality records, key performance indicators, reports, and summaries for management.
  • Assist with customer audits, third-party evaluations, and certification processes.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments including QC, Production, NDE, Laboratory, Warehouse, and Procurement on quality-related matters.
  • Conduct quality awareness trainings to foster a culture focused on quality.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials, Industrial Engineering, or similar fields.
  • Three to five years of QA experience in foundry, forging, machining, valve manufacturing, oil and gas, or heavy industries.
  • Hands-on experience with QMS documentation, auditing, and engaging in technical reviews with customers is advantageous.
  • Knowledgeable in ISO 9001 and API Q1 quality systems; familiarity with API 20A and API 20B is a plus.
  • Auditor certification such as Internal or Lead Auditor is preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry standards like ASME, ASTM, MSS, and EN is desirable.

Technical & Behavioral Skills

  • Proficient in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
  • Competent in data analysis and key performance indicator (KPI) reporting.
  • Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or MES is beneficial.
  • Strong skills in report writing and managing documentation controls.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and cross-departmental collaboration skills.
  • Detail-focused, disciplined, and analytical thinker.
  • Team-oriented approach with proactive problem-solving attitude.
