Job description

Role Overview

The Quality Manager is responsible for maintaining the highest feed quality and safety standards by managing lab functions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading quality assurance efforts. This position fosters continual enhancements in quality processes and supports excellent formulation and production practices within United Group's operations in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and execute quality assurance frameworks aligned with ISO, GMP, HACCP, and local regulations.
  • Independently monitor quality across raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods with strict standards.
  • Lead and prepare regulatory audits supported by thorough documentation and traceability.
  • Develop and track quality goals and KPIs to drive ongoing organizational improvement.
  • Oversee laboratory testing operations ensuring precise, timely, and unbiased sample analyses.
  • Manage laboratory personnel, equipment calibration, maintenance, and validation.
  • Establish lab testing schedules separate from production timelines for independent quality assessments.
  • Implement and sustain a Quality Management System fulfilling regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Conduct root cause investigations for quality issues, and enforce corrective and preventive measures.
  • Champion quality improvements using automation, digital solutions, and data analytics.
  • Manage supplier quality verification and perform independent audits on material compliance.
  • Maintain specification and sampling plans for raw materials and final products with risk-based controls.
  • Train QA and laboratory teams on compliance and best practices to strengthen quality culture.
  • Promote transparency, accountability, and integrity throughout QA operations.
  • Handle customer complaints and internal non-conformities, ensuring effective resolution and responsive communication.
  • Coordinate internal audits alongside external certification and regulatory inspections.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to product quality and brand reputation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Academic qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Animal Nutrition, Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years in quality assurance with at least 4 years leading teams in feed, food, or life sciences sectors.
  • Experience with ERP/QMS systems, quality documentation, and standard operating procedures.
