About the Role
The Regional Inventory Manager will oversee the inventory management for a set of branch locations, ensuring inventory levels are optimized to meet customer demand while managing working capital efficiently. This role requires close collaboration with multiple departments including branch management, sales, category management, and supplier relations, to enhance inventory productivity and service levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory performance for designated branches, maintaining key metrics such as Days on Hand, inventory turns, and service levels within organizational targets.
- Analyze inventory health, addressing issues related to shortages, excess stock, and inventory imbalances with strategic action plans.
- Execute replenishment planning utilizing the company's inventory methodology, considering factors like demand trends, sales data, seasonality, and supplier lead times.
- Oversee purchase order creation and management to optimize inventory efficiency and service reliability.
- Monitor supplier backorders and apply contingency strategies as needed.
- Coordinate inventory transfers between branches to improve inventory utilization and implement stock rotation initiatives.
- Propose adjustments to Min/Max inventory parameters based on performance data and demand fluctuations.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
- Act as the primary inventory liaison for assigned branches, collaborating with branch management and cross-functional teams to support customer opportunities and product strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement in replenishment processes and forecasting accuracy, maintaining precise inventory data in the ERP system.
- Support and implement company-wide inventory initiatives and best practices.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in inventory planning, purchasing, or supply chain roles.
- Experience in distribution or wholesale sectors is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Epicor Prophet21 software is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
