Job description
Position Summary
This role requires a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree, proficiency in data analysis software, and experience in gathering or studying neurophysiological and brain imaging information. The research assistant will participate in EEG and brain stimulation data collection and analysis, support functional MRI scanning, and assist in preparing visual materials for publications. The position necessitates the capability to work independently with general oversight. Prior experience with clinical populations is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement standardized protocol procedures, aiding data collection and analysis (40%).
- Prepare experiments, document outcomes, and keep accurate scientific records (30%).
- Manage laboratory inventory for supplies and chemicals (10%).
- Ensure compliance with safety standards (10%).
- Carry out other necessary tasks to support the lab, research project, or team functions (5%).
- Handle additional responsibilities as assigned (5%).
Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree with at least 18 months of relevant experience or a comparable combination of education and training.
- Previous work involving psychiatric or clinical populations is preferred.
- Familiarity with EEG, brain stimulation methods, or magnetic resonance imaging research is advantageous.
- Experience using research databases and software for data analysis.
- Background in aiding manuscript preparation, creating figures, or conducting literature reviews.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic research environment.
Additional Requirements
- Completion of all mandated online training modules.
- Experience in human subjects research, including data collection and input.
- Strong organizational capabilities and attention to detail.
- Competence to operate independently under general supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Professional demeanor when interacting with clinical participants.
