About the Company

uMart Private Limited operates a chain of home-grown convenience stores, with its first store launched in Balestier in November 2020. It has since expanded to include three additional outlets located in Boat Quay, Katong, and Sims Drive. The company is focused on growth and is looking to bring on dedicated individuals to contribute to its journey.

Position Overview

This is a full-time role based in multiple locations across Singapore. Candidates must be aged 21 or over due to responsibilities involving tobacco products, and should possess a solid background in retail.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate as cashier, assisting customers with purchases and checkout processes.
• Address customer inquiries professionally and promptly.
• Manage fulfillment of orders placed via online delivery platforms.
• Restock and organize product display shelves regularly.
• Maintain inventory levels and stock organization in the storeroom.
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness throughout the store premises.
• Regularly inspect product expiry dates to maintain quality standards.
• Supervise and manage store staff efficiently.
• Provide coaching and development support to colleagues.

Qualifications and Desired Attributes

• At least 21 years old and able to legally handle tobacco products.
• Proven experience in retail management or a related area.
• Adaptable and humble personality willing to embrace new cultures.
• Cheerful disposition that enhances customer experience.
• Physically capable of handling tasks involving lifting and moving heavy goods.
• Proficient in reading and understanding English product labels.
• Available and willing to work on rotating shifts.
