Role overview
The company is hiring a Retail Trainer to support the learning needs of its offline retail workforce. The role involves planning and delivering engaging training using a mix of classroom sessions, hands-on activities, and other interactive methods.
Key responsibilities
- Create and run induction programs for retail teams.
- Deliver onboarding sessions for new employees.
- Match new sales hires with mentors and coaches.
- Study the customer experience journey and identify training requirements at different interaction points.
- Set up role-play exercises to help teams handle challenging customer situations.
- Train retail staff on products, service-oriented soft skills, and store KPIs through both store-based and classroom formats.
- Use a range of sales-training approaches such as gamified learning, case studies, and group exercises.
- Keep training content and program records current and well organized.
- Plan the training schedule together with the retail operations team.
Candidate profile
The preferred candidate should have 2 to 4 years of experience in retail training, product training, sales training, or a comparable role. Experience in retail, especially sportswear, is preferred. The role requires willingness to travel to retail locations when needed, along with the ability to manage the complete training cycle through both in-person delivery and e-learning tools. Strong communication and presentation abilities are essential, as is the ability to inspire teams to meet sales goals. A BSc degree in Education, Human Resources, or a related area is preferred, and any additional training certification will be an advantage.
