About the Role
UpGrad Enterprise is seeking experienced and dynamic Retail Training Managers to join our team. This role is crucial for developing and delivering training programs that enhance the skills of our retail staff across India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in in-store retail training and a passion for employee development.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive orientation programs for new hires.
- Conduct thorough training needs assessments for individuals and teams to identify skill gaps.
- Deliver engaging training sessions on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service excellence.
- Utilize various training methodologies, including gamification, group activities, and case studies, to maximize employee engagement.
- Implement the ADDIE model for instructional design and development.
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and Training Needs Identification (TNI).
- Develop and implement effective training measures to track progress and impact.
- Gather feedback from management on training materials and continuously improve them.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all training materials and modules.
- Document training activities and prepare reports for senior management.
- Research and introduce innovative training techniques to enhance our organizational learning initiatives.
- Travel Pan India to conduct training sessions as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in retail training, with a preference for candidates with in-store experience.
- Maximum of 10 years of experience.
- High levels of confidence and energy.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English and local languages.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India for training assignments.
- A clear vision for career progression and a proactive action plan for the initial 100 days.
- Ability to introduce new concepts and strategies in retail training.
- Experience with TNA, TNI, and the ADDIE model.
- Proficiency in implementing various training measures and documenting activities.
