Job description

Position overview

This role is focused on representing the brand in-store and driving sales by delivering strong customer service and a positive retail experience. The associate also supports day-to-day store operations, including upkeep of the shop floor and maintaining visual presentation standards as directed by the store manager or assistant store manager.

Customer service

  • Welcome shoppers, understand their needs, and guide them toward suitable products.
  • Turn casual visitors into buyers through helpful, effective selling.
  • Encourage repeat purchases by promoting the Club Apparel Loyalty Program.
  • Deliver service aligned with the company’s GUEST selling approach: Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, and Thank.
  • Stay current on the group’s brands so you can make relevant recommendations and support suggestive selling.

Grooming, attitude, and product knowledge

  • Maintain a neat, well-groomed, and professional appearance at all times.
  • Keep product knowledge updated to provide accurate assistance and reduce stock loss.
  • Be prepared to work longer hours during promotional or sale periods.

Merchandising and store operations

  • Arrange stock neatly and in line with standard display and layout requirements.
  • Follow visual merchandising instructions and clearance stock norms.
  • Track inward and outward inventory movements and keep the related records updated.
  • Operate the POS and billing counter efficiently.
  • Reconcile cash at the start and end of shifts.
  • Process receipts, refunds, balance returns, and customer payments accurately.
  • Accept payments through cash, credit card, vouchers, and automated debit methods.
  • Stay alert to store security and loss-prevention requirements at all times.
  • Follow SOPs and loss prevention policies without exception.
  • Keep sales information confidential and do not share it with outside parties.
  • Be willing to work different shifts and overtime as needed by the business.
