Job description
Role Overview
The primary objective is to enhance revenue, volume, and trading contribution across all retail outlets within your designated territory covering areas such as Kerry, Cork, Limerick, Clare, Galway, and parts of Tipperary. This is achieved by developing accounts, engaging in consultative selling, managing customer relationships, ensuring product availability and distribution, and maintaining high standards of in-store merchandising.
Key Responsibilities
- Boost sales revenue, volume, market share, and trading metrics for each brand, channel, and packaging category as per or beyond regional targets.
- Ensure product availability meets or exceeds 95% for selected distribution lines through improved shelf space and distribution.
- Utilize a consultative selling approach with customers leveraging the "Sell-Out" toolkit.
- Create additional displays surpassing planned levels to increase profitability.
- Sustain and grow both current and new customer relationships through tailored account support aimed at enhancing service quality, business expansion, and customer satisfaction.
- Guarantee exemplary in-store execution consistently.
- Develop and deliver presentations to significant customers.
- Utilize IT systems for comprehensive outlet reporting to facilitate informed and timely business decisions.
- Control territorial expenses to align with the regional budget.
- Optimize call frequency and call planning to maximize efficiency.
- Implement effective in-store displays, accurate planogram adherence, proper stocking, fronting, product facing, and maintenance of cooling units.
- Introduce promotional activities by securing store manager approval, gaining preferred product placements, re-merchandising, and signage placement before promotions begin.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 1 year sales experience within the FMCG sector.
- Familiarity with the beverage industry, including products, distribution channels, and competitors.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities.
- Strong numerical aptitude.
- Proven skills in negotiation.
- Demonstrated drive and proactive attitude with the ability to collaborate effectively in teams.
Education and Qualifications
- A full, clean driving license is mandatory.
- A third-level qualification in Business or a related field is preferred; alternatively, a Leaving Certificate level or equivalent may suffice depending on experience.
