Role Overview
- Plan, conduct, and evaluate experiments for biotechnological development projects with a focus on Downstream Processing (DSP) of proteins and DNA.
- Apply chromatographic and filtration techniques to purify biopharmaceutical products.
- Utilize appropriate analytical methods to characterize processes and products.
- Take ownership of sub-projects, driving them independently forward.
- Actively support the organization and ongoing development of laboratory operations.
- Accompany scale-up processes and technology transfers into pilot and production scales.
- Independently conduct structured literature research in both German and English.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including Upstream Processing, Analytics, and Production, to develop holistic solutions.
- Prepare scientific reports, presentations, SOPs, and safety-related documentation.
Candidate Profile
- Completed degree in biosciences, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
- Experience in enzyme purification, ideally extended to DNA purification.
- Preferable knowledge in protein and DNA analytics.
- GMP knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Structured, independent, and responsible work style.
- Strong team orientation with excellent communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written.
