Overview

The role of Senior Cybersecurity Certification Consultant involves leading certification assessment activities to determine organizational adherence to national and global standards in cybersecurity and information security. This position requires ensuring unbiased and consistent certification decisions while managing assessment teams and overseeing certification cases to uphold process integrity. Additionally, the role contributes to the creation and refinement of certification methodologies, tools, and frameworks aligned with regulatory and accreditation mandates.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough certification service delivery and daily assessment of application reviews and validations.
• Oversee team management and allocation of assessment cases.
• Maintain meticulous and comprehensive certification documentation ensuring accuracy.
• Guarantee high standards of competence, impartiality, and consistency throughout certification activities.
• Examine organizations' compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices on both national and international levels.
• Assess the design and operational effectiveness of cybersecurity controls.
• Document findings clearly and with traceability, grounded in objective evidence.
• Develop and update certification procedures and tools based on national cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
• Uphold impartiality and confidentiality, declaring any conflicts of interest that could impact assessment objectivity.
• Create and enhance measurement and compliance tools to track improvements.
• Provide informed recommendations following assessment conclusions.
• Keep informed on latest cybersecurity developments, emerging threats, and technological advances to maintain certification relevance.
• Perform efficient cybersecurity risk assessments and audits.
• Design and deliver internal training and workshops to strengthen team capabilities in compliance, assurance, and audits.
• Manage external communications from application through to certification decision issuance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Cyber Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 20 years in IT, information security, or cybersecurity roles.
• At least 4 years in senior cyber security auditing, assessing, or risk/security management.
• Experience in cybersecurity consulting or implementation in line with national/international standards is advantageous.

Preferred Certifications

• CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or Implementer, or similar credentials.

Technical Expertise

• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity risk assessment and audit methods.
• Expertise in recognized security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, NIA, and CSF.
• Familiarity with certification and accreditation standards including ISO/IEC 17021, 17024, 17065, 17006, ISO 19011, ISA, and ITAF.
• Practical experience in information security auditing and assurance functions.
• Strong awareness of current and emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.

Additional Information

Language proficiency in English is mandatory. Immediate availability is preferred. The contract is set for a duration of 12 months with potential extension depending on departmental needs.
