Role Overview and Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Manager, the Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst will deliver robust financial and operational analytics to support the Global Sourcing and Supply Chain functions. This critical role involves driving budget management, forecasting, product cost evaluation, and performance tracking, working closely with cross-functional teams to provide timely and precise insights that enhance cost control and strategic sourcing decisions.
- Collaborate with regional and corporate finance teams to consolidate and report Global Sourcing financials.
- Generate monthly close reports, forecasts, budgets, and long-term planning documents.
- Analyze variances by comparing actual outcomes to budgets and forecasts, delivering management commentary.
- Develop leadership review materials and presentation decks.
- Conduct cost assessments at product and factory levels; monitor cost-saving initiatives.
- Support financial analyses related to customs, duty optimization, and first sale programs.
- Work alongside Raw Materials Procurement to oversee financial tracking of raw material risks.
- Provide additional ad hoc reporting and analytical support as needed.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
- Between 4 to 6 years of advancing experience in Financial Planning & Analysis with strong skills in financial reporting, analysis, and modeling.
- Experience in preparing financial and operational reports, preferably within retail or consumer-focused sectors.
- Excellent analytical and numerical capabilities to interpret data and deliver actionable insights.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, adept at juggling multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Proactive and results-driven, with a flexible, team-oriented mindset and strong collaboration abilities.
- Strong self-management skills with an ownership mentality and a positive approach.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Professional credentials like CA or MBA are advantageous.
- Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with tools like MicroStrategy, Power BI, SAP BusinessObjects, Hyperion, or Cognos is highly beneficial.
- Prior exposure to retail or sourcing industries is strongly preferred.
