Role Purpose
We seek an energetic Senior Procurement Specialist to join our procurement team. This position is pivotal in sourcing activities and acts as the authority on governance and compliance within the company's procurement processes. The successful candidate will possess strong negotiation capabilities, deep knowledge of procurement operations, and work collaboratively with vendors and internal teams to deliver cost-efficient purchasing decisions.
Key Accountabilities
- Oversee and facilitate the complete procurement cycle including sourcing strategies such as RFQ, RFP, and Tender processes, price and contract negotiations, and ongoing contract management.
- Ensure strict adherence to procurement and contract policies and procedures at all times.
Job Responsibilities
- Thoroughly examine all procurement requests to verify alignment with commercial criteria.
- Identify and actively pursue opportunities to reduce operational expenses through cost-saving measures.
- Collaborate closely with various business units to ensure timely contract renewals.
- Assess supplier performance focusing on price competitiveness and support quality.
- Provide expert procurement guidance and administrative assistance to internal stakeholders.
- Facilitate resolution of issues related to procurement activities.
- Develop and sustain robust relationships with both new and current vendors.
- Manage contract renewals, amendments, and terminations when necessary.
- Source and evaluate potential new suppliers as required.
- Participate in audit activities to ensure compliance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager.
Educational Requirements
A diploma or bachelor's degree in business administration or an equivalent related field is required.
Experience Requirements
Applicants should have between 2 to 4 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably within the IT sector.
Skills Requirements
Essential Skills:
- Strong negotiation skills and capability to develop and nurture supplier relationships.
- Excellent communication abilities, both spoken and written.
- A proactive mindset with strong interpersonal skills to effectively influence stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement systems such as SAP Business One.
- High attention to detail with accuracy in data management and record keeping.
- Analytical thinking accompanied by problem-solving capabilities.
